Brand and Branding: What’s The Difference? Part 1
In business, there are many similar terms but have different meanings. The examples are for brand and branding. Maybe there are still many people who think these two terms have the same meaning because the words are quite similar. Brand and branding are still related, but the meaning itself is different. This article will explain to you the difference between branding and branding, especially if you are just starting a business in Singapore.
First of all, you have to understand the definition of each term. The definition of a brand is the identity of the business and products you offer such as a logo, name, design, symbol, or anything related to your business. Whereas branding is the effort and process to create a brand. The purpose of branding is to create a customer persona through certain efforts and processes. It can be said that brand is a marketing tool and branding is a marketing activity.
In the other words, Branding is a strategy of the business to show the brand identity to people. So branding itself helps a brand to get people's attention. So branding is very important, if a business doesn’t do branding, it will be difficult for people to know the brand and its products. The right branding strategy determines how people recognise the brand. Of course, when you do the branding, it must be appropriate with the products you offer in your brand. For example, if your brand offers luxury bag products, your branding is to promote them with elegant and classy advertisements.
