The study refuted the claim that taking antioxidant supplements would help you live longer. Vitamins A, E, as well as beta carotene, on the other hand, were found to shorten life in experiments.
At the outset of the trials, the findings were extended on all stable and diseased subjects.
They may not, however, influence everybody. Antioxidants, such as selenium and vitamin C, have little impact on mortality. There was no proof. However, that selenium prevents vitamin C from premature death.
All of them generated high-quality research. Vitamin A, E, and Beta carotene supplementation improved mortality. The findings of studies on vitamin E-containing food supplements, for example, revealed:
About 10 out of 100 participants died during the research time in the party who took a dummy pill (placebo) or did not take something.
Around 12 out of every 100 people in the vitamin E population died.
Antioxidants may have negative consequences. Constipation, diarrhea, and gas may be caused by vitamin E, beta carotene, and selenium. The itching will occur if you consume massive quantities of vitamins A and C.
A Well-Balanced Diet is A Sufficient Protection
According to the report, antioxidants and dietary additives do not seem to guard against cancer or other life-threatening diseases. However, excessive doses may also raise the disease's severity.
Some dietary replacement tests have come to the same finding. Of note, this would not negate the importance of avoiding certain substances:
The body needs vitamins and minerals, usually obtained from a well-balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Simply taking so many antioxidants and supplements may be dangerous.
