Note: What about the document that has the company name and registration number printed on it? Is it still necessary to apply the chop on the document?  

If the registration number and company name are already printed on documents, then the chop is no longer needed to be affixed to the documents.    

2. Authorization Purpose 

Even though company chops are not mandatory in Singapore, however, there are times when this item is needed for authorization of certain documents. For instance, company chops may be required in some conditions such as government documentation, official invoice, rental agreements, and more.  

3. A Simple Way to Increase Brand Awareness 

The application of company chops can be a simple way to increase brand awareness. But how does a company chop increase brand awareness? 

We mentioned earlier the information that is usually included on the chop. Most of the chop will be contained some information like the name of the company, registration number, logo, and contact details. Plus, many chop designs use a particular font type that represents their company. 

By affixing the chop on many business documents, the frequency of people will see the logo and company name engraved on a certain font type will be increased. Because of that, the application of company chops can be a simple way to make people more familiar and easier to recognize a brand or company.
