How to Create a Business Name Card in Word
Step 1: Select A Aemplate:
To begin, launch Microsoft Word. Select File > New. You may search for Microsoft Word templates from this page. When making your pick, keep in mind that if you're using Word 2013, make sure the template you choose is compatible with the current edition. It may harm your computer or show incorrectly if it contains deprecated components.
While you may add shapes directly to a page in Word, you may want to keep them contained within a Drawing Canvas. A canvas serves as a container for your flowchart, allowing you to place a chart with a single click rather of changing each piece individually.
Canvases may also be customised to lend a professional touch to your flowchart. Click the Insert tab and then Shapes to insert a canvas. Scroll to the bottom of the panel and select the “New Drawing Canvas” menu option.
Step 2: Add Your Details:
The pattern we chose is very simple: it features coloured blocks, the company name, and contact information, which are the essentials for a business name card.
Now we'll fill in the blanks with our personal information. Remember to proofread every element on the card. It's a good idea to have a friend or coworker go over your business name card template for any errors you may have overlooked. This is how the card appears with the default fonts and colours.
Step 3: Personalize Your Card:
If you want your company name card printed to be more personalised than the template, you can easily change the fonts, colours, and shapes to fit your particular style. We used a serif font for the company name and a sans serif font for the details of contact.
Experiment with adding a shadow to the forms. Right-click on your shape and choose Format Shape. A formatting panel will appear on the right side of your canvas as a result of this.
You may also increase your shape's possibilities by clicking on the Format tab. We've used a drop shadow on all three forms in this example. This is how the card now appears:
Warm tones—vermillion, green, and beige—are used as the default hues. You may determine that using cold hues will help you portray the picture you want. Select the Design tab to utilise predefined colour schemes.
Step 4: Create A Business Name Card Sheet:
Depending on how recent your template is, it may auto-populate to match every card. If you're working with an earlier template, just copy and paste the information from one card into each of the other slots.
Step 5: Make Use Of A Ruler Or Gird:
When producing visual documents such as business name cards, it might be advantageous to enable the ruler or grid to create a more design-centric canvas. Check the Ruler and Gridlines boxes on the View tab. Here are our business name card with this kind of canvas. This is useful if you have certain layout requirements for your business name cards.
