7 Tips For Creating Memorable Business Name Cards Part Two
3 - Consider All Possibilities.
A business name card should be simple, with a light colored back. I use the back of my cards to keep track of my patients' appointments, so it's very important that the design of my cards is consistent with how I use them. Think about how you will use them.
4 - Think Big.
I had never really thought about where my logo would appear, except for my website. It would have been a good idea to get advice from a business name card designer when creating my logo, to take into account other important factors. I didn't think about it until afterwards, but fortunately it wasn't a problem.
My design set the tone for all my other marketing materials. It became the template for everything else.
5- Stand Out.
I often come back with dozens of business name cards from trade shows I attend, which I store with the many others. It's only a few months later, when I need to contact someone in particular for a project, that I go looking for this or that card.
Unfortunately, most of the business name cards I get are pretty much identical. So I have to go through them one by one until I find the right one. And most of the time, I can't even find one! The designs are so similar that I don't recognize the one I'm looking for, even though I know it's there.
So we chose to make orange business namecard for Phew! the main color of our visual identity. It's the only orange card I own, so it's also the easiest to find.
