Is There Any Difference Between Business Card and Name Cards Part One
From the different names, one can easily say there is an apparent difference between a name card and a business card. But is there any? Are the differences, if they exist, so evident to everyone's eye that it clearly distinguishes one from the other.
What's a Name Card?
A name card is a little card that indicates a person's name and, in some cases, tells where the person needs to sit at an event. Sometimes, one can use the cards for another purpose. This purpose makes people refer to them as visiting cards. The Chinese used visiting cards in the past to inform a host of the presence of a visitor.
A more common description for a name card is that it is a card holding the name and contact of an individual. These cards may have a lot of information about the cardholder like his company's name and logo, position at the office, the description of his craft and profession, etc.
What's a Business Card?
A business card, on the other hand, looking at its name, is a card that shows the details of a company, the contact details of the individual who works with the company, and information about who else to contact at the company. Typically, a business card printing is a lot more firm-focused and formal, created to represent the business and give clients easy access when necessary. A business card is made to promote one's business.
The business cards are little cards designed to catch the eye and give information. There is limited space for irrelevant text. Therefore, text content is usually restricted to information tagged as important and relevant to the business and brand. Both cards stand on the same grounds in that they are set in a minimal size, which is rarely ever tweaked except on request by a business for branding or design reasons.
