While you were fretting over the wording for your wedding invitation, you may have entirely overlooked the dozen or so possibilities for selecting the paper on which your wedding invitation card would be printed. Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder, we discovered 11 more reasons to complicate your wedding preparations.

1. Paper That Has Been Marbled

Guess which sort of paper Emperor Shah Jahan would choose. The solution is marbled paper (kidding). You don't have to be a genius to recognize that the marbled paper resembles marbles. In any case, it is feasible to make marbled paper at home.

You only need a few paint colors and a few other supplies. There are several DIY websites and techniques available for making marbled paper for yourself.

2. Matte Paper

Matte paper is a popular type of paper finish. When printed on matte paper, it has a clean white finish and pastel colors appear great.

Thieves from all around the globe favor matte paper because it cannot easily pick up fingerprints! Matte paper comes in several varieties, including picture grade, double-sided, semi-matte, and premium matte.

3. Glossy Paper

Matte paper has a close relative, or should we say twin brother who was separated at birth? In actuality, the glossy paper goes through the same production process as matte paper, but it receives more chemical coats than matte paper. Glossy paper is ideal for printing vibrant wedding invitations since the colors stand out.

4. Mylar Paper

If you want a glossy and sparkling look on your wedding invitation card, Mylar is the paper for you. If you've ever gotten a gift basket and been perplexed by the bright silver paper, you've undoubtedly been perplexed by Mylar! Biaxially orientated polyethylene terephthalate, or BoPET is its chemical name.

5. Parchment Paper

Parchment paper wedding invitations have an old-fashioned appearance. If you want a scroll-style wedding invitation card, parchment paper is the paper to use.
