Calfskin is used to make vellum paper! Yes, this makes it the least probable choice for any Indian vegetarian when making a wedding invitation card. If you enjoy your leather purse, why not try vellum?

We also have "vegetable vellum," a synthetic substance used for technical drawings. Did you know that the Magna Carta was written on vellum parchment and signed on it?  

7. Glassine Paper 

Glassine is a glossy paper that is resistant to water and grease. Glassine is ideal for envelopes for wedding invitation cards. Glassine paper is commonly used in picture books to protect images from clinging to one another and fading. Calendering is a technique used to create glassine paper.

Handmade papers are manufactured from cotton, hemp, and other plant fibers that are environmentally beneficial. Their rough look provides a unique warmth to wedding invitations and envelopes. Handmade paper goods, as the name implies, are often created on a small scale and are more expensive than other types of paper.

Why not be ethical and environmentally conscious by sending out a wedding invitation card made on recycled paper? Some even argue that instead of utilizing paper, why not send invites through email or phone? Paper recycling is a huge industry in India, and recovered paper goods attract high prices.

Linen paper, as the name implies, resembles and is composed of cloth! It's our favorite for printing high-class wedding invitation card since it's elegant and feels nice in the hand.
