Preliminaries

Online Printing Systems are actually prepress processes that help bridge the gap between digital content online and the production of commercial print. These systems help print houses, clients or graphic designers to create and approve online templates (computer based) during their prepress stage. Most of these systems require the use of Portable Document Format (PDFs) to be incorporated into their workflow along with output from digital printing.

Our printing systems actually improve the overall efficiency and profits of your business by streamlining all the processes that are involved with the creation of products. They also serve as a cost effective way to make the most of your resources by removing steps that are not required.

As of the moment, the Kiasu Print Pte Ltd website is supporting eight important and popular print products. 3. Browse Design

For customers who are looking for design options to use, they can pick this choice. This will give you access to multiple pre-loaded templates that you can choose and customise in the design studios without having to create everything from scratch.

The main difference between these two types of material lies in the weight. Countries who use the European system usually base it on GSM (Grams per Square Metre) whereas countries like the US tend to base it with LB (Pound).

Paper stock material is mostly used for printing (like letterheads or other stationery). They are typically between 60 to 120 GSM ( 20 to 70 lb). Anything heavier than paper stock material will be considered card stock. These materials are used for the printing of material like postcards, business cards or even greeting cards.

These two stock materials are provided by coating material onto the paper so that they have different finishes. When touched, they tend to provide distinct texture as well. Glossy Paper Stock is the material that carries a smooth texture. They also hold ink well so they are able to produce brighter and sharper graphics. It is shiny in appearance because it reflects light evenly. This is why most printing jobs are compatible with the use of Glossy Paper Stock. Matt Paper Stock however can appear rather lustreless and flat compared to glossy paper.

Printing

The printing system we use at Kiasu Print Pte Ltd mainly supports RGB (Red, Green, Blue) for the design and production of digital prints. During the printing process, we make use of accurately mapped colour pallets to match these RGB colour formats to CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key) colour formats, which is mainly used for better 4-colour printing.

To make better quality images, we use 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) as the ideal resolution for our output PDF files.

We rely mainly on offset and digital printing since both printing method generates highest quality available for print material when you use both text and images in your designs.

Pricing

No, the pricing list indicated with the products is actually the basic prices against speculative quantities. These prices are typically calculated by using basic materials, sizes and printing options. The final cost you incur for your order depends on the parameters you are choosing. They will be calculated based on the thickness of your stock material, the finishing options, printing colour options, corner cut options, printing design, shipping destination charges and transport mode. You can make use of the indicative prices and calculate basic costs. The exact final costing will be emailed to you only after you place the orders with the options you wish to have.
