What Is the Significance of a Company Seal?

While the corporate seal or otherwise know as common seal is less often used in today's business world, it is still an official symbol of companies. Any corporate papers still require the business seal today. Furthermore, it is an important component in board decisions. The resolution is deemed void since it lacks a corporate seal. Furthermore, bigger businesses are still supposed to have a company seal. Certain court paperwork would be impossible to file if you did not have one.

How to Get a Corporate Seal for Your Company

Corporate seals were once made of wax, but they are now a kind of metal stamp. To secure a corporate stamp, complete the following steps:

The state would need you to register your company. Corporations are regulated by the legislature, not the federal government. Since the state is sometimes used on the corporate seal, it is important to file with the state.

Go to a nearby office supplies store.  Since a corporate seal is not required when forming a company, the Secretary of State cannot supply you with one. Instead, you should get one from an office supplies store.

Create the company's seal. It is entirely up to you to create the corporate seal. Many corporate seals, however, contain the name of the corporation, the date of incorporation, and the state in which the corporation is registered. A corporate symbol will also be used.
