How to Emboss Name Cards Part Two
Using Card and Heat Method
Get the cardstock ready for embossing. Place a big scrapped sheet of cardboard next to you, similar to a floor mat.
Put your cardboard there in the center of your scraps of paper. Arrange your cardstock so that the area you would like to emboss is facing upward.
Gently push the rubber stamp you've chosen over onto the embossing card. Examine the sticker to ensure that perhaps the embossing solvent from the pad has fully coated the layer of the sticker printing. Gently push the stamp onto the cardstock in the appropriate position.
With your coated stamp, stamp the paper. When pressing the stamp against the paper, apply even pressure to the back of the stamp to ensure even application. Apply embossing powder after stamping.
Embellish the marked spot with embossing paint. Ensure that all of the stamping product has been properly coated.
Raise the card such that any silk screening powder that didn't adhere to the marked region falls to the paper underneath.
Using your butane torch, emboss the pattern onto the paper. Connect your heat gun and place it a few seconds away from the name card. It should be moved around just above the powder region. The temperature will start to change the powder into something like a raised, gleaming surface.
Conclusion
There are other means of embossing a name card, which is the use of an embossing machine. It is the easiest method; we shall discuss that in our subsequent articles.
