Postcards as everybody understands, are a piece of paper with a picture on one side and a blank page on the other side for you to write your message to your loved ones. While it is mainly used for sending a message, do you know that there is more than one reason for you to send a postcard these days?

It is intimate
In the age of technology, sending a message through the internet seems like a reasonable way. However, when you are sending a message through the internet, sometimes it feels a bit cold because you are just reading it through a screen. Writing a postcard is an incredibly intimate thing to do, receiving a postcard tells someone that you are genuinely thinking about them. And ultimately, that is why people love postcards. It is a genuine “Wish you were here with me” a personal, handwritten card from the other side of the world. It makes people feel happy and warm inside because you have actually put effort into it.

While writing a postcard in Singapore is something that has been on the decline, however, visitors or tourists coming from abroad would usually write a postcard to their loved ones back home.
