Required Specifications for Name Card Printing Part One

It's helpful to know where to begin when creating attractive business cards, whether you're a business owner or a graphic designer. Using whatever software resources you have on your computer, you can easily create a professional-looking business card.

Any layout software, such as Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, as well as conventional graphics applications like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, can be used to start from scratch.

Name Card Size and Setup 

A printed name card's regular dimensions are about 3.5 x 2 inches. That is the size of the finished card. Bleed is an additional 1/8 inch of space for design features or backgrounds that stretch past the finished edges of your card in several printed designs.

A bleed namecard design is printed slightly larger than necessary and then cut down to size, giving the impression that the printing bleeds off the card's edge rather than providing white borders.
