On many occasions, parents ask what their children are going to learn in robotics classes. It is essential to make it clear what kind of skills they are going to develop.

Still, parents should know that with educational robotics, their children will not get an engineering degree at the age of 15 (which, although it sounds obvious, is not always). However, educational robotics classes can indeed awaken an interest in these subjects.

In most robotics classes, you learn to develop two skills: technical skills and behavioral skills-dexterity. In this first part, we present how educational robotics can help your children and students develop technical skills.

Technical Skills Learned in Robotics

If we start from the basis of the teaching methodology, robotics classes begin with a problem that students must solve by applying different knowledge. Therefore, in each class, students learn to develop a series of technical skills to reach the solution:

1. Logic

Since students must solve a problem, the development of logical thinking is paramount. They must apply different reasoning to see the logic of both the solution they propose and the reasoning of the steps they must follow to reach a solution.

They learn to deduce the robot's behavior if it does what they have proposed to achieve the objective.

2. Technology

In addition to learning using technology, they begin to understand the importance of these devices for the functioning of the world in general. First, they apply it on a small scale.

While they see it as a game, they begin to see that they can go much further thanks to technology. There is no limit to everything they want or can build.

3. Programming

It is the basis of robotics and other subjects. They learn to program devices to perform certain functions. In addition, they use programming codes adapted for their age but whose commands are valid for other types of more advanced programming.

They settle and develop programming concepts, very useful for their future as they can design their own company logo design in the future if they want to start a business.
