Users of After Effects

Visual artists, animators, digital advertising agencies, video editors, visual designers, video producers, motion graphics designers, among many others, all use After Effects. However, in-depth training and hands-on experience are needed to master how to use After Effects.

After Effects is the industry-standard program for producing visual effects and motion graphics, and it's available separately or as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud.

What Can Be Done With After Effects

It can be used to construct, create, and stylize 2D footage in a 3D space as a creative and technological tool for film, effects, and compositing. After Effects can be used to generate names, 2D cartoon characters, combine videos into a single cohesive collection of moving images, and animate static logos and text, among other things.

After Effects is not the same as video editing software; it's used to add effects to video footage after editing or creating standalone motion graphics.

The Costs of After Effects

A standard version of After Effects is estimated to cost about $20 per month, while access to all Creative Cloud applications, including After Effects, costs around $50 per month.

After Effects is only available as part of the Creative Cloud on a subscription basis, it is not available as part of a package with a long-term license.
