What Should You Write On A Wedding Invitation Card Part Two

Couples 

It is their wedding, and it sure would be embarrassing to leave their names out of the wedding invite. Whether or not they are hosting the ceremony, the couple's names must be included in the invite.  

Request To Attend 

It is only proper to request that the guest receiving the printed invitation card attend your wedding. This is also where the guest's name comes in. An example would be, "Jake and Mary are tying the knot, and it would be a pleasure to have you *guest name* celebrate this day with them. 

Date And Time 

The date for the wedding and the exact time for the ceremony and reception should be included in your cards for clarity. 

Dress Code 

Details about whether it's a formal wedding, a casual wedding, or something in between should be stated. 

Location  

In this case, if the wedding ceremony and reception will be held at different locations, it is essential to mention this and include the addresses. If possible, a map showing direction can be added to aid guests that are unfamiliar with the territory. 

RSVP 

Some couples have wedding websites, and, that is where the guests would respond to the invite. But where there's no website, a second card can be included with space for an RSVP so it can be sent back to the hosts.
