I have seen quite a few business cards in the last few months because I have taken part in many workshops or attended founders' meetings. Some didn't even have their business cards with them or generally didn't have any, which surprised me. When I did get one, all the essential information was on it, but the type of business card was rather mediocre (kinked corners, boring design, etc.). All in all, I am amazed at how little importance the business card has for many.

The business card is the company's figurehead and usually the first thing the customer gets to see of you. Nevertheless, many companies believe they have to save money at this point, especially start-ups short of money. In times of Internet sites and Google, many consider a luxury business card printing a pure waste of money. After all, you will be found on the Internet. But in my opinion, this is a mistake, as you can stand out from the competition with your business card if you do it right.

What Does a Business Card Have to Do?

A Business Card is Not Just a Simple Piece of Cardboard That is Handed Over, But of Course, it Fulfills a Few Functions:

  • It makes known and accessible
  • Bringing competencies and areas of activity to the point
  • Generate curiosity
  • Radiate professionalism
  • Reminder aid
