Why Have 3 Types of Business Cards in Japan Part One
The Japanese business is an experience of its own because it does mean something unique in all levels. Exchanging a business card is not a neutral act. You could even say that showing your professionalism starts with the business card.
In Japan or elsewhere, exchanging contact details on a piece of paper, or even asking your interlocutor to write down these contact details on one of his documents by spelling him your name is the worst thing to do.
Realizing the importance of your personal business card, it is much better to take the time to think carefully about the use you are going to make of it. You will then be able to have the right card, depending on the situations in which you will find yourself. Remember, your goal is to be recognized. In good!
In some cases, it will therefore be necessary to be able to give a “luxury” business card , in others, it will be necessary to favour the practical side and in still others, do not hesitate to show originality. Whatever the purpose of the business card, it must contain the key information of the bearer:
On the front, priority information concerning the company (logo, company name, website) and the card holder (name, function, phone number and email).
On the back, any additional information such as, for example, an access map or opening hours.
